Students will read a short article about Tesla’s success in getting ahead of its competitors in the car industry through cost reduction and quality improvement. Then, students will be asked to identify the reasons for Tesla’s success, and the inputs of car production. The worksheet will also ask students to distinguish between fixed and variable costs, and to explain how cost reduction helped Tesla outperform all other carmakers in the market.
